The Triangle Women in Golf Foundation, Incorporated is the philanthropic arm of Triangle Women in Golf. The Foundation was established in 2017 to enhance and expand the philanthropic endeavors of Triangle Women in Golf (TWIG). TWIG was established in 1997 by a group of African American women from the Triangle area of North Carolina to learn and support women and young girls (TWIG Kids) in the game of golf.
TWIG has been able to annually support approximately fifteen young ladies to receive professional golf training, attend golf events, and participate in golf camps. Through the mentoring and support of TWIG, many young ladies have learned life and golf skills that will continue to enrich their lives.
The TWIG annual golf tournament has been the fundraiser that supports the TWIG Kidz program and has become a much anticipated community event with returning sponsors and players. We look forward to continued successful growth and a positive impact on TWIG and TWIG Kidz.
All members of TWIG are members of the Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to inspire and empower women and girls of all ages by introducing them to the game of golf.
The Foundation is a non-profit corporation operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended.
